OK so school has started back up again..... thats the academic side. This semester im taking Inner healing, christology and old testament survey. These are all great subjects and our professors are all of a very high standard:)....This means our weeks are flying in, as im kept REALLY busy which is great!!!:)
This past weekend we had a world renown speaker " John Bevere" at celebration church, this guy writes many books, which im sure alot of you have read. One which i have read is undercover, this book deals with the issue of spiritual authority. I found alot freedom within it.
Life over here is still great for me, the family I am living with are so loving and caring. They conitnue to richly bless me, i have learnt so much from them alone. A great example was just lastnight. We brought a guy named Mike to the cinema. Mike is a guy who Jeremy and Alisa met randomly at the movie theatre on regular occurances because he collected the tickets whilst sitting in his wheelchair. Unlike many others they decided not to just pass by Mike, but opted for the less comfortable option of finding out a little about him. After talking with Mike they realised that he basically had a mother who never sees him, never knew his father and had no other family. Jeremy + Alisa recieved mike into their family.
We left Mike off at his apartment lastnight, and jeremy explained to me, that anything that was in his apartment he had bought sacrificially. This deeply touched me, because so many times in life, me including; we get emotionally touched by situations, but yet theres no end product or action. Jeremy showed me that this is what its all about to be the real deal, and not to do it just for people to see. To overcome the fleshly, selfish desires of life to do what you know deep down is right. This is were IMPACT is truely made. And its definitely one of them situations that you TASTE and SEE!!!! Once you get out of your selfish mindset and lead your heart into a situation like this, your heart truely connects, resulting in you yourself being richly blessed. It reminds me of that scripture in Corinthians " Beat your body and make it your slave" We have to overcome our fleshly desires sometimes to do what is right. And in return we won`t be disqualified from living to the full, being blessed and knowing truely who that person of Jesus really was.
One thing in teacher training last year i learnt, was that humans learn best by DOING.... by DOING it goes deeper....You have by-products of fulfilment, purpose and reason to live...... if you want to really know Jesus on a deeper level..... DO!! dont just WANT!!! Lead your heart!!!:)
